The lakeshore communities of West Michigan do a fantastic job of hosting events and activities that include the whole family. There's so much happening that is geared specifically toward kids and families as a whole, and that's part of what makes being here so amazing!
Every season in West Michigan has it's unique, fun things to do for kids of all ages- from babies up to the "young at heart". Indoors or outdoors, no matter the time of year, there's always something great going on along the lakeshore for families to experience together!
Sheep Shearing Demonstration at Circle Rocking "S" Children's Farm in Free Soil.
9am - Lewis Farm Market- 4180 W. M-20 in New Era, opening day.
6pm - Amazing Grace Race at Ludington State Park. Fundraiser for Ludington Area Catholic and Covenant Christian Schools.
10am - Historic White Pine Village Opening Day.
10-11am - Boy Scout Pack 4196 is collecting returnable cans and bottles Ludington United Methodist Church parking lot- 5810 Bryant Rd. The money will be used to help pay for scout camp.
12-4pm - 2nd Annual Founders Day on the Pentwater Village Green. Exhibits, costumes, acitivies, and more to experience about Pentwater in the 1800's.
1:30pm - 7th Annual Chilly Dawg Dunk at the Fifth Avenue Beach House in Manistee. This is a fundraiser for Hearts & Critters and Homeward Bound Animal Shelter.
Car Seat Checks at West Shore Pregnancy Care & Family Support- 603 E. Tinkham Ave. in Ludington. Free event where certified car seat technicians will answer questions and assist families with proper installation and usage of car seats.
Area 24 Special Olympics Dodge Ball Tournament at the Ludington High School Hawley Gymnasium- 508 N. Washington Ave. in Ludington. Hosted by the West Shore Educational Service District.
Hospital Hustle Fun Run & 5k at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital- 1 N. Atkinson Dr. in Ludington.
8am-12pm - Petunia Planting Day along Ludington Avenue and the Ludington Municipal Marina.
12pm - Michigan Adventure Race: Epic Edition in the Ludington School Forest and Ludington State Park.
Walk for Life in downtown Ludington. Sponsored by the West Shore Pregnancy Care Center. Two mile walk followed by a cookout and live worship music.
West Michigan Old Engine Club Antique Tractor Pull at Scottville Riverside Park.
8-10pm - Movies on the Green: "Back to the Future" on the Pentwater Village Green. Sponsored by Farmers Insurance Agency.
Pancake Breakfast at the Pentwater VFW Hall- 8440 N. US 31. This is a fundraiser for the Pentwater Boy Scout Troop #1145.

Hamlin Lake Things to Do -- Just 4 miles north of Ludington, Hamlin Lake is a great destination for boating and fishing. The Hamlin Lake shoreline is also part of the Ludington State Park.
Silver Lake Sand Dunes Fun Things to Do -- The Silver Lake Sand Dunes makes for a terrific vacation because you can take your off-road vehicle for a spin on the scenic sand dunes overlooking Lake Michigan and Silver Lake.
Pentwater, Michigan Activities -- Nothing is quite like the quaint, artsy, harbor town village of Pentwater. Don't miss the popular Charles Mears State Park on the Lake Michigan shoreline.
Fun in Scottville, Michigan -- Home of the zany Scottville Clown Band. Discover the Riverside Park along the National Scenic Pere Marquette River, great for canoeing and fishing.
